ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The three-week program runs May 24-June 14, while the six-week program
runs May 24-July 5.
Cuernavaca, Mexico, is a colonial city located 70 kilometers south
of Mexico City, and the program includes weekend excursions to Mexico
City, the pyramids and other nearby points of interest. Some classes
include field trips.
COURSES AND CREDITS
Courses in Spanish language are taught at all levels. Language courses
have no more than five students per section. Latin- American studies
courses are usually taught in English.
Students can earn five or six credit hours (three credit hours in
language and two or three credit hours in Latin-American studies)
in the three-week program. Nine or 12 credit hours (six credit hours
in language and three to six credit hours in Latin-American studies)
can be earned during the six-week program.
HOUSING
Students live with families.
COST
The cost includes tuition, textbooks, semester credits, room, board
and certain field trips. With adequate enrollment, the coordinator
will accompany students to Cuernavaca.
Airfare not included. Approximately $600.
