The duo of Dave King (The Bad Plus) / Chris Weller (Hanging Hearts) is a MidWest collaboration (USA) that performs free improvisations, original compositions, and interpretations of their favorite songs.
Grammy-nominated producer and musician Joshua Strange was born in Dayton, Ohio attending Kettering Fiarmont High School and later the University of Cincinnati CCM. As a jazz musician he has played extensively with legend such as JD Allen, Craig Bailey, Brandon Meeks, Cedric Easton, Rob Dixon, and Mike Wade. Producing two songs on Nas’s “KDII” album landed him a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album in 2021. He is an avid educator working at multiple schools in the Cincinnati Public School district teaching general music, drumline, and jazz.
