are available for materials in the XPLORE and OhioLINK library catalogs. These materials may be requested online (help requesting). See borrowing privileges for information about loan periods, renewals, loan limits, overdue fines and replacement charges. XPLORE materials are picked up and returned to the circulation desk in Xavier's library; OhioLINK materials may be picked up and returned to Xavier or to another OhioLINK library more convenient for you (pickup anywhere help). If materials are overdue, it is more cost efficient to return them to Xavier's library. For materials not available through Xavier or OhioLINK see document delivery services.

This form must be printed, signed by your department's liaison to the library or your department chair, and submitted via interdepartmental mail to Patty Grecol, Acquisitions Librarian, University Library, ML 5211.
may be used to request materials not available in the library's collections, including electronic collections, or through OhioLINK. These services are available at no charge and are accessible through the library's online forms. Notices for the arrival of document delivery materials are sent to your Xavier email account accessible through MyXU, the campus portal. For many journal articles the email notice will provide a password and link to the full-text of the article. Document delivery services are also available for mateials in the Library Annex.

In addition electronic reserve services are available for you to use in your classes. You can manage your own account (online help) or have the library do it for you. Links can be made from Blackboard or MyXU courses to your electronic reserves course. For help see the Library Links Toolkit or contact your librarian liaison. Materials that need to be scanned before they are placed on electronic reserves must be accompanied by an electronic or PDF form and brought to the document delivery office. Materials in digital format may be attached to an email message that includes information about your course, and sent to Anne Davies, Public Services Librarian/Document Delivery, at 513 745-4803 or davies@xavier.edu. , such as computer workstations, wireless laptops, cameras, printers, scanners, microform reader/printers, audiovisual equipment, typewriter, microscopes and Elison Die, are accessible in the library at no charge. The following services have nominal charges and/or limitations:
- Laminator - $1/foot of laminating material
- Photocopiers-10¢/page
- Production room supplies (paper, poster board, etc.) - cost varies
- Computer workstations and wireless laptops - log into computer workstations using your MyXU, capmus portal, user name and password; log out of the computer when you are finished using it, so that the next person to use that workstation does not have access to your files.

is an online bibliographic management service that permits you to create a database of references from search results in online research databases. In-text citations and and bibliographies are automatically formatted with the click of a button in a citation style of your choosing. is accessible from XPLORE by professor or course name. These materials must be picked up and returned to the circulation desk in the library. Some of these materials must be used only in the library. For information about loan periods, hourly overdue fines and replacement charges, see your borrowing privileges. In addition traditional reserves are available for you to use in your classes. If you have suggestions for an existing guide, would like a guide created for a particular course, or would like a link to a guide in your Blackboard or MyXU course, contact your librarian liaison. , the library's online tutorials, will help you and your students define a research topic, optimize search strategies, identify useful sources, evaluate websites, prevent plagiarism, and find library materials. These web-based, self-paced tutorials make good homework assignments.
