HelP: Limiting Records in XPLORE

Use this feature to limit your XPLORE search results. These instructions assume you have searched XPLORE and have a list of search results.

  1. Your list of results found will display.
  2. Click the Modify Search button.

Limit Options

  1. The Apply limits page will display. You can limit your search results by:
  2. Publisher
  3. Material Type
  4. Date
  5. When you are finished selecting your limits, click the Search button. You can select an item from Language as well as from Location and Date. However, you can select only one item from each drop-down list. Setting too many limits may drastically reduce your search results. It is best to use only one or two limit options at a time.

Limiting Search Results by Language

  1. At the Apply limits page...
  2. Click the down arrow in the Language select box.
  3. Click the language you want from the drop-down list.
  4. Click the Search button.

  1. At the Apply limits page...
  2. Click the down arrow in the Location select box.
  3. Click the location you want from the drop-down list.
  4. Click the Search button.

  2. Click the down arrow in the Record Type select box.
  3. Click the record type you want from the drop-down list. Note: selecting Prog. Medium will find videos, DVDs or audiovisuals.
