These instructions assume that you are connected to the Internet, have searched PubMed and have a list of results.
- From your search results, check the records you want to import.
- Click the down arrow in the Display select box and click MEDLINE.

- Your screen will refresh and display your checked records in a tagged format.
- Click the down arrow in the Send to select box.
- Click File.

- Your screen will refresh again and the File Download window will appear.
- Click Save.

- The Save as window will appear.
- Note where you are saving the file.
- Note the name of the file you are saving pubmed-result.txt.
- Click Save.

- You will return to the Download complete window.
- Click Close.

The RefWorks User Login page will open
- Enter your login name.
- Enter your password.
- Click Login.
NOTE: If you are in an off-campus location, you will be asked for a Group Code. Call the reference desk at 513 745-4808 to obtain this information.

- Click References in the top menu.
- Then click Import in the drop-down menu..

Click the down arrow in the Import Filter/Data Source drop-down box and select the NLM PubMed import filter. Your screen will refresh.

PubMed will appear in the Database drop-down box.

Click the Browse button adjacent to the Import Data from the following Text File textbox.

- T the Choose File window will open.
- Click the pubmed_result.txt file.
- The pubmed-result.txt file will appear in the File name textbox.
- Click Open.

- You will return to the RefWorks Import page.
- Note that the path and pubmed-result.txt file display in the Import Data textbox.
- Click the Import button at the bottom of the page.

The RefWorks Import from Database page will open
- RefWorks will prompt with Import completed when it is finished.
- Click View Last Imported Folder to view your references.

RefWorks will display references in the Last Imported Folder window.

Click the OLinks icon to see if an article is available in full-text, print or microform format and to submit an interlibrary loan request.
