ABI/Inform Research (1971-present; much full-text; RefWorks help; XLinks; title list) is a scholarly business periodicals database. It covers nearly 1,400 North American sources, providing information on advertising, economics, human resources, finance, marketing, computers and more. It includes access to the Wall Street Journal and information on over 60,000 companies. The user intereface is provided by ProQuest.

Academic OneFile (updated daily; much full-text; RefWorks help; XLinks; title list) indexes and abstracts more than 10,000 journals in which there is considerably more peer reviewed content (8,000 titles) than in InfoTrac OneFile (3,000 titles). It covers a wide range of academic disciplines: physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature and other subjects. It also contains hundreds of podcasts and transcripts from NPR, CNN and the CBC as well as the full-text of the New York Times back to 1995. It is produced by Thomson-Gale and the user interface is provided by InfoTrac.

Academic Search Complete (1985-present; updated daily; more full-text; video tutorials; RefWorks help; XLinks) is a multidisciplinary database that covers nearly all academic areas of study, including social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, language, linguistics, the arts, literature, medical sciences and ethnic studies. It indexes and abstracts over 9,300 journals, many of them peer-reviewed (4,400), and provides full-text for over 5,300 journals. It also includes indexing and abstracts for books, reports, conference proceedings, etc. Searchable cited references are provided for 1,000 journals. It is produced by and the user interface is provided by EBSCO Publishing.

Access Medicine (updated daily; all full-text; XLinks; Citation help) provides students, clinicians, and researchers with instant answers to clinical questions from the most trusted textbooks: Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine, CURRENT Medical Diagnosis & Treatment, Tintinalli's Emergency Medicine, Schwartz's Principles of Surgery, Fitzpatrick's Color Atlas, Williams' Obstetrics, Hurst's The Heart, Goodman & Gillman's Pharmacological Basis of Therapeutics, Adams & Victor's Principles of Neurology, Williams' Hematology, and Principles of Critical Care. It provides information necessary for completing evaluations, diagnoses, case management decisions, conducting research, and medical education. It features A to Z access to over 800 disorders and excellent drug information. Users can search for images, videos and audio by keyword. It includes LANGE Basic and Clinical Science Series for on-going study, review and reference, as well as the USMLEasy tool for self-assessment and board review practice. ACCUNET Multimedia Archive/AP Images (1840-present; updated daily; full-text captions) contains over 750,000 of the Associated Press' best photographs, over 380,000 audio files (requiring RealPlayer) and links to 800,000 full-text articles. About 800 photos are added daily and about 200 photos from the historical collection are added monthly. It includes maps, graphs, charts, logos, flags and illustrations, including 2,000 graphics using Spanish instead of English. Audio files, images and other graphics may be downloaded and used for educational purposes. Educators may search by state and grade level for images applicable to a specific state curriculum standard. ACD-HNMR Chemsketch (Chemistry Department only) permits the drawing of molecular structures and substructures. It is available in CD-ROM format and is produced by Advanced Chemistry Development. Limited to one user at a time. Contact the Chemistry Department for access information.

ACLS Humanities eBook (all full-text; title list; XLinks), formerly the History eBook Project, is an online, fully searchable digital collection of 1,500 high-quality books covering all aspects of world history and many other humanities disciplines. Books in this database have been recommended and reviewed by scholars. They are of major importance, remain vital to scholarship and are frequently cited in the literature. Books may include illustrations, graphs, charts, and maps as well as video, sound and music. Restrictions may apply to printing and downloading as specified in Section 107 of the U. S. Copyright Law. It is produced by the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) in collaboration with ten learned societies, about 80 contributing publishers, and librarians at the University of Michigan’s Scholarly Publishing Office. It covers latest spots, breaking news, opinion, AdCritic top 20, anniversary top 50, music, events (Super Bowl, Cannes Festival), no-spot film festival, production preview, who did that spot, images & footage, location scout, and features from the editorial staff of Creativity Magazine published by Advertising Age Group. Users can view TV, radio, cinema, Internet, print and outdoor ad campaigns from their desktops. African American Poetry Collection (1760-1900; all full-text; XLinks; title list) contains almost 3,000 poems written by African-American poets. The poetry explores topics such as abolition, children, civil rights, dreams, education, fugitive slave law, Indian raids, liberty, political issues, prejudice and slavery. It includes allegories, broadsides, children's poems, elegiac poems, epics, hymns, odes, patriotic poems and sonnets. The poets are among those included in the William French et al. bibliography, Afro-American Poetry and Drama, 1760-1975. African American Song (first half of 20th Century; XLinks; artist list) documents the history of African-American music in an online music listening service. The collection contains a diverse range of genres such as jazz, blues, gospel, ragtime, folk songs, and narratives among others. This release features 12,000 tracks of great historical recordings featuring iconic artists such as the Fisk Jubilee Singers, Memphis Minnie, Blind Willie McTell and Huddie Ledbetter. It offers portraits of more than 17,400 men and women, from all eras and walks of life, whose lives have shaped American history. Art and Architecture Digital Media (XLinks) is part of OhioLINK's Digital Media Center and contains digital images of art and architecture worldwide as well as collections found in local Ohio museums and universities. Art and Architecture from the University of Cincinnati (XLinks) is part of OhioLINK's Digital Media Center: Art and Architecture Digital Media. It contains 102 digital images of paintings, prints, sculptures and architecture photographs located at the University of Cincinnati. Each entry includes the title, creator, creation date, object type, measurements, context, owner, contributor and a stable link to the item. The user interface is provided by OhioLINK.

ART Collection (XLinks) is part of OhioLINK's Digital Media Center: Art and Architecture Digital Media. It contains 52,855 digital images of works of art from museums around the world. It highlights the creative output of cultures around the world, from prehistoric to contemporary times, and covers the complete range of expressive forms. Images include a broad range of works of the following genres: painting, sculpture, photography, print, drawing, ceramic, textiles, metalwork, furniture, books and scrolls, architecture, and archeological finds. Cultures and time periods represented range from contemporary art, Native American and Inuit art, to ancient Greek, Roman, and Egyptian works, along with Japanese and Chinese works. This collection was formerly organized by The Art Museum Image Consortium (AMICO), a consortium of museums and libraries, but is now licensed directly from individual museums. ARTFL - American and French Research on the Treasury of the French Language (medieval-20^th century; regular updates; all full-text) contains about 2,000 selected texts representative of 150 million French words. It covers classic works of French literature, non-fiction prose, and technical writing. It includes historical bibliographies, dictionaries, encyclopedias and other reference works. Genres include novels, verse, theater, journalism, essays, correspondence, literary criticism and treatises. It covers biology, history, economics and philosophy. It is cooperatively produced by and the user interface is provided by the Institut National de la Langue Française (INaLF) of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and the Divisions of the Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Chicago.

Article First (1990-present; updated daily; some full-text; RefWorks help) is an index of articles listed on table of contents pages of over 12,000 journals. It indexes articles, news stories and letters. It covers business, humanities, medicine, popular culture, science, social science and technology. Most items include a list of libraries that have the journal title. It also includes ContentsFirst. It is produced and the user interface is provided by OCLC (Online Computer Library Center).

Arts and Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI) (1980-present; updated weekly; some full-text; RefWorks help; tutorial; journal titles) provides current and retrospective bibliographic information and cited references (the author's bibliography) for over 1,130 arts and humanities journals plus individually selected, relevant items from about 7,000 science and social sciences journals. It covers archaeology, architecture, art, asian studies, classics, dance, film, folklore, history, language, linguistics, literary reviews, literature, music, philosophy, poetry, radio, religion, television and theater. It is produced by Thomson Scientific and the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI. Asian American Drama (1891-present; all full-text; XLinks) contains 252 plays by 42 playwrights, together with detailed information on related productions, theaters, production companies, and more. About half of the plays have never been published before. It includes selected playbills, production photographs and other ephemera related to the plays. The plays themselves have been selected using leading bibliographies. Users can search by authors, characters, productions, companies, years, plays, theaters, subjects and related resources.
