Contest Fast Facts

  • Photos can be submitted starting on November 12.
  • The deadline for submitting photos is December 19.
  • Contest entrants may submit up to 5 images.
  • The submission form can be downloaded from this site or picked up at the following locations on Xavier's campus:
    • Office of International Student Services - Gallagher Student Center, room 230
    • Department of Art - Cohen Center, room 144
    • Office of Marketing and Printing Services
  • All photos should be submitted on a CD to the Office of International Student Services in the Gallagher Student Center, room 230. CD's may also be mailed to the address below.

Submission process and rules

  • Competition is open to currently enrolled students, alumni, faculty and staff at Xavier.
  • Participants may submit up to 5 high resolution digital images on a CD.
  • Please save the images on a CD and include the following information:
    • Name
    • Contact information
    • Image number corresponding with number on entry submission form
    • Image title
  • An official completed submission form is required. All entries should be listed on the same form. Images must have been taken by the person submitting the entry.
  • Prints chosen as finalists will become the property of the Office of International Student Services and may be used in Xavier University publications, on its website or in public areas.

Selection criteria

  • Photos that exhibit high technical and artistic merit and a sense of place or culture in a country outside the United States.
