Bob Cotter of Instructional Technology ServicesThe division of information resources provides leadership to enable the University to progress in the use of technology and information resources to enhance the teaching and learning environment, support scholarly activity, and improve service and productivity.

Information resources include the following areas:

Xavier University Library supports classroom instruction and the scholarly activity of students and the faculty by acquiring, organizing and providing access to a broad range of materials and information resources. The library offers services and instruction to facilitate the effective use of these learning materials.

Instructional technology services (ITS) manage Xavier's computer labs, oversee the University's interactive computing and multimedia presentation facilities, and provide a wide variety of mobile computing and media equipment to the campus. ITS designs and delivers in-service training programs for faculty and staff development, and provides training services for students in support of instructional programs. ITS also assists faculty in planning, designing, implementing and evaluating instructional technology tools and strategies.

Information systems and services (ISS) supply computing hardware and software support and maintenance to the campus community. ISS is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of the University's administrative systems, as well as for the campus network and telecommunications services.

Web development provides leadership in planning and implementing strategies and practices to enhance the University's web presence and expand services offered on the web.

Strategic information resources collaborate with staff throughout the University to assemble, analyze and report information concerning the University's performance to inform ongoing assessment and planning initiatives.
