Xavier’s commitment to academic excellence enables more than 300 first-year students to receive institutional scholarships each year. This generous scholarship fund includes five full-tuition, room & board scholarships, and 10 full-tuition scholarships awarded to incoming freshmen. Also included are numerous partial scholarships for both incoming first-year and transfer students, based on academic excellence.

In addition, Xavier offers departmental scholarships of $2,500 each for chemistry, history, classics (Latin), modern languages (French, Spanish, German), physics and mathematics majors and can be in addition to any other scholarship or financial aid. Exams for these scholarships are offered on the Xavier campus in February.

Receipt of an academic scholarship, however, does not guarantee acceptance into any of Xavier’s honors programs. For a complete listing of available scholarships, visit the office of undergraduate admission web site.
